The Daily Tribune is a daily English broadsheet publication in the Philippines. Its office is in the 9th Floor of the GLC Building along Kalaw, Manila. Its editor-in-chief is Ninez Cacho-Olivares.
The Tribune is known for being critical of former Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her successor Benigno Simeon Aquino III, often supporting ex-President Joseph Ejercito Estrada.
On February 24, 2006, the Tribune was raided by police as part of the 2006 state of emergency in the Philippines. The police presence remained until the suspension of the SOE on March 4, 2006.
The paper continued to publish normally, making defiant statements throughout. The publisher claimed that some of her reporters were practicing self-censorship, but her own publishing decisions were unaffected. She received substantial publicity and her circulation expanded significantly during the crisis; however, she lost many advertisers who were intimidated by the unstable situation in the country.
Her paper is now said to face sedition charges. It is unclear whether they will be in any way effective against the newspaper.
At present, the paper has been particularly critical of the administration of President Benigno S. Aquino III, presenting what it claims to be a more balanced or unbiased view of the administration and its efforts to prosecute the former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, and willing to openly criticize the current President as opposed to other newspapers which usually feature and support only the incumbent government's position.

Judge Winlove Dumayas of Regional Trial Court Branch 59, Makati City on June 5, 2008, found Ninez Cacho-Olivarez, publisher of The Daily Tribune, guilty of libel and sentenced her to a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 2 years imprisonment. She was also ordered to pay P 5 million ($ 113,636) in moral damages and P 33,732.25 in civil damages including libel fine of P4,000, for writing a June 23, 2003 column accusing collusion between then Ombudsman Simeon Marcelo and the law firm of influence peddling in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA3) deal. The Villaraza Cruz Marcelo & Angcanco Law Firm[1] (also known as The Firm) stated that it will prosecute 47 more libel suits against the publisher of The Daily Tribune.[2] In February 2006, the office of The Daily Tribune was searched by police during a plot to topple the Arroyo government.[3][4]
During the presidential campaign of 2010 the paper had thrown all its support towards former President Joseph Estrada and running mate Jejomar Binay because the editor is part of the same political party the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino. Therefore going against all other candidates.
